Haematology
A haematologist is a doctor that focuses on the study of blood and diseases that are connected to it, including problems with bone marrow, blood cells, and the vascular system in general. The duties of a haematologist include analysing blood samples taken from the ill person in their laboratories to diagnose diseases like sickle cell anaemia, thrombosis, leukaemia, and some genetic disorders like haemophilia. They also consult with their patients to understand their symptoms. Surgical procedures may also be carried out by haematologists if and when necessary, depending on the severity of the issue.
